Title says it all, need a radiator support and cooling fans for my girls car, found one off a S4, guy said it will fit her A4 but not the Radiator, just want to be sure before trekking out over an hour to get it. I don't mind a little trimming and fitting but don't want to get crazy.

 

Well I was hoping someone would know, the seller said it would fit, it went in with a little trimming, and the plugs behind the drivers headlight matched up perfect but now i have the passenger side fan plug with nothing to plug into, and stupid *** I am, I threw away the old fans, which were pretty wrecked, but I don't know if the wiring for the passenger (smaller) fan was or where it was integrated, I'm thinking I tucked away the plug for it but can't find it, can someone check an A4 B6 and tell me how many plugs you have coming out of your fans, I have 2 behind the headlight, 3 going into the relay, and the one from the passenger fan that goes nowhere. Even better if someone has a S4 to compare, both fan setups are 03, one from an S4, the other an A4. Help.!

 

How much did you pay for this radiator? A new one is like 140 bucks, I would of just skipped the headache and got an A4 radiator.

 

it's the whole support including the fans, fan relay, wiring, a/c condensor, the relays alone are like 300, the thing that sucks is I threw away the old relay figuring this one would work

 

Thats a question for a parts department unless someone here has actually done it. Its about matching up part numbers

 

OK just in case anyone else runs into this, turns out an S4 runs off 2 separate fan relays, 1 for each fan, and there is no plug to run dual relays on the A4, an A4 uses only 1 for the 2 fans, so aside for some minor trimming to use the radiator support, fan set up, from an S4 on a A4 you need to use your original A4 single fan relay, of course it plugs right into the car, but you will need to cut and splice the feeds to the fans, no biggie, mine works great, car runs cool!
