Default wiper arm

Hey guys,
I was trying to remove my ECU to get a stage 1+ added on. The problem I'm having is the wiper arm. I can't get the damn thing to come off. How hard or easy should this be to take off. I have sprayed it with PB blaster, but it just doesn't want to budge. Are there any tips to remove this thing?

aloha, Derrick

You can get a 'puller' from Advance Auto for $15.

Why not take the car to the shop to flash it? Saves from removing the ECU and messing with those two ECU screws.

I live in Hawaii. The only way to get the stage 1+ upgrade it to ship it off to APR. While it's there, do you think it would be beneficial to get it soldered? I would just hate for some reason for a shop or the dealership to reflash the ecu (even after asking not too). I had a friend that this happened too. The dealership told him that they wanted to upgrade his ecu, even after he told them not too.

I'm new to this whole thing too as I just got my A4 about 5 weeks. I can speak to the wiper arm problem because I've had to get mine off as it was put on by the previous owner at a wrong angle.

From what I've read in the forums, I don't see how soldering it would help? All the dealership has to do is plug in and flash it. The only way I can think of to get around having to keep sending your ECU to APR in case the shop or dealership flashes it is to have 2 units. 1 stock and one chipped, and everytime you take the car in, you'll have to swap ECUs.

Someone with a better and more economical idea, please chime in...
