yeah, stage 1, and I'm LOVING it, right now. It does feel like that's how it should've been out the factory. Having driven a Jetta and an Eos for a long time with the same engine, but with 6-speed manual, I can honestly say just now, the auto-audi starts feeling close to their acceleration. Before the APR it was just so sluggish off the line. And it's not the weight, cause the Eos is heavier than the A4.
Anyway, I'm probably gonna look into stage 2 later on. Is the difference between 1 and 2 the same as what I'm experiencing right now?

P.S. Is there an easy way to check what type my DV is, or should I just not worry about it until it fails?

You'd have to pull it to see. It's not any big deal to wait until it fails. It'll throw a P0299 (turbo underboost) and the car will just be completely gutless as most of your boost will be leaking, but it won't cause any damage. That's what I did with mine--drove it about a week like that while I waited for the part from ECSTuning.com.

uhm.. yeah, I already did, if you read the previous posts. I got stock, 93, 100 and valet. Don't really need the 91 in my area... but to be honest, I don't think I'll ever use the valet, either. How much less power than stock is the valet? I could use it to play a trick on someone. My girlfrriend would **** her pants if she thought she broke my car when I give it to her.

You should check / change your DV before it fails. Sometimes they have a small tear and you are only losing a couple of PSI but not enough to alarm you. That is power being robbed. PCV i always recommend the BSH before it fails.

I felt like the car was chipped all over again when I went to stage 2.

After that I was amazed when I went to stage 2 Plus and the fuel pump upgrade and felt like it was chipped all over again for the 3rd time.

Awesome... I wonder what I'm gonna give myself for Christmas this year...
As for the parts, I'll make sure I check them soon, and have my dealer replace them next time I go in. These should be well covered under warranty I assume.
Can't wait for the snow.

The dealership isn't going to go replacing parts *****-nilly if they haven't failed. Don't count on getting your PCV or DV replaced under warranty unless you have CEL codes and you don't want to pay their labor rates for the jobs (they're simple to do).

Yeah, you're right, but it does feel like they're ripping you off when you pay for your own parts for preventative work, when you've already paid so much for the car and warranty and care packages and what not. But otherwise, I agree, at the end, you're getting ripped off anyway, might as well make sure your car is in top shape.

That's why I just waited for my DV to fail. It throws a P0299, you have little to no boost (it's obvious), and I paid my mechanic $20 to put the new one in (because I didn't have time or ramps to get my car up off the ground).

I plan on doing the BSH PCV myself in a weekend or two when I have a little free time (things have been stacked up lately).

Dont wait for it to fail. It can tear partially and lose an un-noticed couple of pounds. It will effect performance and you may not notice.
