Default 07 A4 Bluetooth Setup

I just bought a 2007 A4 2.0T s-line 6 speed and I'm wondering how to set up the Bluetooth. I read the entire owners manual and didn't see anything on setting it up. I tried messing around with it and turned my phone's bluetooth on but it still doesn't seem to work. I have a Droid. Anyone have any advice?

I think you have to put the car into phone mode (by pressing the mode button on the steering wheel) and then you should be able to pair the phone with the car.

When I click the mode button on the wheel it says insert phone? It's frustrating trying to do it just talking to the computer voice.

I have no problems getting my Droid to sync with my 07 A4 Avant. You have to make sure you phone is in bluetooth discovery or "visible" mode before you turn the key on. Once it is turn on the key for the car and it will automatically sync after 30-60 seconds. Enter the password 1234 and you are done. The phone book will also sync buy that takes a little time. Keep in mind that you may think (I did) that the system isn't working because you don't see your contacts on instrument info screen. The reason is the "apply brake before shifting" warning blocks it. Just either take a short drive or put the car in gear and you will see your contacts when you press the "mode" button on the steering wheel.

Thanks yeah I got it working. It helped that I found this seperate little book labeled audi symphony or something that had the bluetooth set up in there, not the actual owners manual. It's working great now, except when she missunderstands me..but thanks for the help.

You push one of the scroll buttons on the steering wheel... I don't remember if it's the left one or the right one.

Thanks for the information. It was the button on the left side of the wheel.
