Default 08 A4TQ rear sway bar upgrade

so a few of the guys on here mentioned upgrading the rear sway bar and got me interested lol

i looked all over this site and google but that just brings up more questions so i figured it make a post about it. i have a 2008 A4 2.0 turbo quattro S-line. so i want to know what is the stock size for the rear sway bar on my car? what is the best size to upgrade to? what changes have you guys experienced if you upgraded?

im thinkin to get a bar that is 2-3 cm bigger because i want some slight oversteer/correct the understeer but i dont want to have to change the front bar or have any huge changes.

thanks in advance guys

Most people upgrade to the RS4 rear sway bar, which if i recall is 4 mm bigger. But there are also aftermarket solutions that have solid bars and adjustable stiffness (I think H&R and/or Hotchkiss).

ill make it very simple

an rs4 sway bar is what most people who will not take there car on multiple canyon runs, auto-x and track events. It will help the cars cornering, but if you take your car on straight lines you will NEVER notice the difference.

it's roughly 100 bucks and worth it if you take corners fast, etc.

I am running h&r front and rear set up, but I canyon run, auto-x and track my car. You will notice the difference at these levels.

thanks. i dont plan on doing anything that serious. id love to take it to the track one day and have some fun with it but that wont be any time soon.

i dont punish the car by any means while driving but i do live in an area with a lot of curvy country roads and i like to have fun with it so i think a slight upgrade would be nice.
