Default 2005.5 Power Seat Question

Hi. Any help would be appreciated.

I recently noticed that certain functions on the driver's power seat of my 2005.5 B7 A4 are not working and all stopped at the same time. They effect multiple motors and switches as there are approximately 5 motors that operate approximately 9 functions.

The rake adjustment does not work; the recline does not work and one of the lumbar adjustments does not work (the lumbar is a round switch with arrows pointing north, south, east and west - the east west arrows do not function). Other functions on driver's seat are fine (back/forth; up/down; one of the lumbar.) All functions on seat on passenger side work fine.

I have had my Audi dealer look at it and they told me they put the "scanner" on the car which they said showed a faulty recline motor. When I expressed surprise that a scanner would pick up such specific information on a 2005.5 I did not get a real response from them. I also pointed out to them that the rake and lumbar motors are also effected - they had no response.

It is also odd to me that 3 switches would be effected (the horizontal switch does not work for the rake but works for the forward/back and up/down; the recline switch does not work; and the lumbar works for one position but not the other).

Fuse not effected as the seat otherwise gets power. I have disconnected and re-seated the plugs to the switches.

Short of pulling out the seat and replacing all 3 motors if anyone has any thoughts I would be very grateful.

Thanks.
