Default 2006 A4 2.0T Cruise Control Problem

I have a 2006 A4 2.0T 6Speed with 63K with an undocumented feature. The cruise control stopped working and when I shift between gears the engine acts like I have left my foot on the gas pedal for a second or two too long when I push in the clutch.

This lovely feature went away once but is now back again.

Any ideas? Vacuum problem?

Thanks

shouldn't be a vacuum problem...doesn't sound that way. By chance...do you have any performance chips added (APR)...or do you currently have a CEL on? This sounds more like a computer glitch...would explain both (computer controls the gas..no direct link from your foot to throttle body) and also the pc controls the cruise.

Have you had the TSB that covers flashing the computer? This is a free TSB that some dealers have been doing when you bring your car in for service.

Default Fixed...

The problem turned out to be a faulty clutch pedal switch. The switch was telling the computer the clutch was always depressed.

I read your post the other week and it didn't click that I had the exact same problem on my previous car (2001 Saab 93). Sorry I wasn't more of a help but thanks for posting what you found out.
