Question 2006 A4 2.0T - Running like total crap!

My 85K mile, Audi 06' A4 2.0T Quattro began running like poo and engine light came on... so I took it to a local guy who pulled the code. It was the pre cat O2 sensor...so I replaced it. I took it back to my buddy who pulled new codes, high idle, mis-fires. P0507 etc. Pointed to the PCV valve. I just replaced the PCV valve with the version P... Now it runs worse than ever. It just died at the stop light..? I have not had the codes cleared yet, but I can't imagine that is the problem. Is it? I have not changed the DV or the follower cam. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks for your ideas...

Im no mechanic but i would guess if its misfiring it may need a tune-up? WHen was your last service? Take it to the dealership regardless. It will probably save you some time and energy. Good luck btw i have the same car as you at 75,000 miles ha

Have tou done the coil pack recall, Yes new PCV's can still fail easy unless you run the BSH Brand PCV, Ripped Diaphram in a DV can cuase a big boost leak.

I say coils 1st.

The coils are free from AUDI if you have not done the recall. Why purchase them>\?

i'd check the coil pack recall. that should have been covered a long time ago if the car was taken care of properly.
