Unhappy 2006 A4 2.0T stalling

Hello All,

I hate for this to be my first post.

I have be having some issue with my A4. It is a 2006 2.0T with CVT trans and 60K miles.

I had gotten the ODBII code P0171. I then did the following based off of other posts here.

-Fuel injector cleaner.
-Checked and replaced the CAM follower on the HPFP (minimal damage on the old one.
-Cleaned the MAF sensor.

I then noticed that the PCV valve was hissing like a tea pot. So I replace the PCV valve. It was a rev E and all the dealer had was a rev E. I also changed the oil after the CAM follower change. I cleared the codes via ODBII scanner and the light has not come back on (2 days now). I now have a new issue.

When I'm driving and come to a stop the engine seems to hesitate and almost stall. This only happens while the A/C is on. So it seems to do this while under a bit more load. I do not have VAG-COM so getting a full report or snapshot is not available. Im about to get a house and I'm flat broke.

I still haven't gotten the recall done to the coil packs and I need to change the plugs soon. Just to let you know what is still on the maintenance list. Any help I could get with this would be great.

thanks for you time.

Try the following proceedure. Can't say it will cure it, but worth the no cost try. Also, I didn't type this up, it's a re-post, it worked for me.

Throttle Body Adjustment - Holy ****, makes a different

Found this on one of the canadian audi forums....probably a repost...but I tried this...and it improves response.

Did the following steps and the car felt different immediately.

Put the car in Park.
Pull the handbrake up.
Put the key and put it into the position just before the starter turns (DO NOT START THE CAR)
Push the gas peddle all the way wait 3 seconds and turn the key all the way back but do not take it out
Release the gas peddle and wait 2 minutes!
Remove key than put it back in and start the car!
You will notice a better response while pressing the gas,
Do this once every few weeks!

Thanks for the help but I didn't notice any difference. My dad has been giving me advice and I'm not sure if he is on the right track. He thinks it is the Idle Air Control Valve. Does this seem like a valid theory? If so does anyone know where this part can be found so I can clean it and make sure it is working correctly.

The car fixed it self. I have been driving with the issue for a couple of weeks now and a few days ago the problem went away.

I really hate when things fix themselves in that I don't know what caused the issue to begin with. I guess I should complain because I didn't spend any more money fixing the issue.
