Hi, I am new to this forum and also new to Audi. I owned a BMW 5 series then went to the Lexus IS250 now I am looking at a used Audi. It is a 2008 wagon AWD with 27K miles, white in color and fully loaded. It has 100K certified warranty through the Audi dealer. I don't know much about Audi's but know I miss the ride of the BMW and find the Audi similar. I have been told by several people that they eat a lot of oil and are high maintenance. I would appreciate any advice the forum members can give me as I am a little worried why there are so many 2008's for sale but not many 2009. I suspect there was a body change in 2009?? Asking price is $28,900. Thanks!

 

The interior look and feel will be way more modern looking and feeling over the BMW. I looked at MBW's before getting my Mercedes and they seemed like they were still styled from the 90's.

There are some items you should read in my stickey up top but ultimately they are great cars / engines.

This particular car i feel is way expensive. You can buy 2009+ B8 for that kind of money.

 

Agreed. $28,900 is WAY over-priced. Keep looking. Do you definitely want an Avant? Drive a sedan (one with quattro) and you might change your mind (unless you have to have the cargo room of the wagon).

Although, if you're looking at spending $29k, you should look at the B8s--they made some really nice changes in 2009.

 

I recently bought a 2008 a4 avant with a 6 speed manual. I drove the new ones but i can't live with an auto/tiptronic. I love the car even without the sport pkg. Its only real competition is the 3 series and both are superior to SUVs. Good luck with your search.
