Bummer: A lady in a 1991 Honda ran a stop sign and totaled my A6

But, it looks like the insurance settlement isn't going to give me much cash to play with.

I looked a CPO A4s at the dealership today and drove one, not bad!!! I'm probably looking at an '06 or '07. Any advice, or problems to look out for?

No poblems at all if it's CPO. 100K warranty is the bomb and thats what I have.

PCV and DV are common issues if you get a chip.

If its a FWD get a stick as the CVT tranny is ****. Maybe check out the A3, it has a better tranny.

 

A lot of people don't like the CVT, but I do!

Figure out what you're looking for, though... manual or automatic, quattro or FWD. Are you looking for a car you would keep stock, or something you would be modding? 2.0T (tunable engine) or 3.2 (more power stock but not much to do). Sport suspension or stock suspension, halogen or bi-xenon headlights. Nav or no nav. The list goes on.

 

sorry to hear about the crash. i don't think you could go wrong with either an '06 or '07. i can't complain about mine since i've had no issues.
