Default Accelaration issue...PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi Folks,

I own a certified 2008 A4 which I bought just about 3 months ago and had 30k miles on it at that time. It was fine for the first 2 months but since the last month I have been really bothered by this issue where I have to push hard on the gas pedal for the car to pick up speed and while doing so the car is not at all quiet. It literally vibrates and I can feel and hear the struggle it is making to gain speed. This mostly happens between 1000 and 2000 rpm. The car runs smooth when it is at very high (60mph and above) or very low speeds (below 20mph). The problem worsens when I turn on the air conditioning. I took the car to my dealer who checked the issue and brushed it off saying its very normal and there is nothing wrong. But I am suspicious because I was not experiencing any of this for the first 2 months. The technician with whom I drove to show him the issue threw some technical jargon on me and said that even changing the transmission will not solve this problem as there is nothing wrong. The car is under warranty and I have a strong feeling that the dealer is not willing to help much because they think it may be a big deal for them to resolve this issue. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INPUTS ON WHAT I SHOULD BE DOING TO TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEM.

Please excuse me for the long message and the lay language (By no means am I a car expert).

Thanks in advance!!!

I don't know what's going on, but it definitely doesn't sound normal.

gay, the dealer seems like not want to fix your car. you can try to make another appointment to check it again; maybe other technician is willing to help tho.

Thanks guys! I have booked an appt with an independent technician to see exactly what's going on.

Others, if you have any insight as to what the problem might be, please do share it with me! Basically, I am experiencing a delay between when I press on the gas pedal and before the car picks up speed (especially after red lights, stop signs, etc when the car is in a static mode for a brief period of time). Thanks!

Default Same thing here...

My 2007 has the same issue but it's not that big of a deal for me. I plan on having a mechanic look the car over before the warranty runs out. Keep us updated please with how it turns out.

The issue could be many different things. It could be ignition, fuel/air delivery, throttle, and or turbo. My B7 is still needs all the upgrades (dv, pcv, coils) it could be one of those troublesome parts too, not to mention the spark plugs probably have 52k miles on them. My low end throttle is certainly annoying and this is my perception coming from a v6 5 speed Tacoma and 5speed escort gt way back. It's a shame the dealer didn't take you more seriously however.
