Was just driving home and the check engine symbol came up in top left corner. Car feels fine, just the symbol. I'm supposed to drive 80 miles first thing tomorrow morning for work, and definitely am not trying to mess that up. If I do that, and then immediately take my car into the shop will I be ok? Thank you.

 

The light is designed to warn you that something might be wrong with the car. Sometimes that light might mean little to nothing, other times it could be a serious issue. Best bet is to try and pull the codes and see what they might tell you. Any Autozone will pull them for you.
