We're going to start providing new stats for the odds of requiring no repairs and the odds of getting a lemon. These require larger sample sizes, so additional participants would be helpful.

Sorry for the delay--though I posted this a month ago. Anyway, we've updated the results for the B7 A4 and S4 to include owner experiences through September 30, 2009. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

I have split the results this time.

2008 A4: 59

2008 S4: not enough responses

2007 A4: 44

2007 S4: 19, but very small sample size

2005.5-
2006 A4: 76

2005.5-
2006 S4: 49

The 2005.5 and 2008 A4 are about average. The others, including all results for the S4, are better than average.

I'm a bit surprised that the S4 appears to require fewer repairs than the A4. The sample sizes for the S4 are small, though.

If more owners participate, we could provide more conclusive results. Next update later this month.

We've updated the results for the B7 A4 to include owner experiences through December 31, 2009. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2008: 48

2007: 48

2005.5-
2006: 78

All are about average, and remain considerably better than the B6..

We'll have further updates in May and August. The more owners participate, the better the information we can provide to everyone.
