Default b7 CVT owners can you check the fluid?

Was looking in my manual and in about 9k I have to have the 35k service done. The CVT transmission will have a fluid change. Now since I have only owned American cars thought it was interesting that this dipstick cant find a dipstick..does one exist??? how would i ever know it was low on fluid and interesting they want to change it at 35k...thanks in advance!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's a sealed system, so you shouldn't theoretically be able to lose any fluid. I guess it just wears out.

fluid is considered to out live the life of the transmission, which so far in the case of the CVT has been pretty realistic.

and make sure the flush gets done. cause i know some dealers that will skip it, and not tell cause it is a time consuming pain in the ***

So, this is interesting. I'm getting ready to have this done. If a 'flush' is necessary, then this is specialized work and I'm looking at finding a shop, or dealer?
