B7 model A4 Headlamp w/o HID
Can any owner do me a favor to check those?
1. Is Low beam remains activated when high beam is activared?
2. What kind of bulb does turn lamp use?
3. Is it low beam or high beam intended to operate as DRL?

That should answer a lot of your questions. The headlights use separate low/high bulbs (both H7 style). Check the "automotive replacement guide" section.
As for the DRLs, they generally function using a separate bulb all together (style 7506LL). If the car does not have the lighting/technology/convenience package (i.e. no HID headlights) it will not come with a factory DRL option unless it is a Canadian model.

I've an pair of original headlamps here,
yes they use both H7 bulb,
but I am wondering if hi beam is activated, does low beam keep activated.
that why I need A4 owners help.
Can you pleasecheck your headlamps for me?
As DRL,
I found there are only 3 reflectors in the headlamp assay,
1for Hi,1 for low beam, and 1 for turnning light, I can't find any for DRL.
I also found that DRL is using bulb 2525 on the link you gave me,
can you please also check the DRL function for me if it's not too troubled?

Mitch G -- Sounds like you're saying that in the halogen headlights, which the other Mitch is asking about, the DRLs aren't even available from the factory on the U.S. model? The Sylvania site does list DRLs -- as 7506LL, same as theturn signals. Do they mean the samebulb/socket? I thinkthe DRLs can be activated or deactivated with a VAG-COM...?
And is it the same in thebi-xenons (which I want) -- the turn signal doubles as a DRL if VAG-COM-ed?
I've been seeing references to a W5W "city light" too. Yes? No?Yeah, I know what they are, but I don't see them listed on the Sylvania site... that'd be important if the parking lights were deactivated completely ("Euro-mode"?) with a VAG-COM.
