2006 A4 2.0 turbo. This pretty little gal came to our shop with low oil pressure. We looked her over and found that the pick up tube was stopped up. Owner decided to try to fix it, piece by piece and be on their way. We got pressure back up to spec after pulling the oil pump and replacing the pick up tube. The owner raced on down the road, only to blow the turbo a few miles later. Tech says it needs a turbo and it's good to go! It has 105K and is in very good condition. Now, she needs front rotors for sure and maybe a few other things but all in all its it damn good shape. There is a chance that it may need a cylinder head but oil pressure is good to everything but the turbo. So to clarify.... customer paid to diag car, had oil pump removed, replaced oil pick up tube and then blew the turbo. Our thought process was, they should have flush the entire system and replaced all oil return lines, not just the one that we found. So a new turbo and return line for this turbo is all that is needed to enjoy this car as reliable transportation. An inspection of the cam shaft will verify no cylinder damage. I am thinking $1000 bucks to make this car run, $3000 to make it right as rain.

How hard is it to upload them to imageshack and click the 'insert image' button above the text field and paste the URL of the imageshack photo? Or type (using square brackets instead of curly brackets): "{img}http://YourImageUrlHere{/img}"

Also, you'd probably have better luck posting something like this in the classifieds section; most people here in the B7 A4 section already have a B7 A4...

Just sayin.

 

Not hard, just not worth my time. Anyone that has a car like this, would love another. Just sayin.
