Default Backs of front seat falling off

Hey all,

I've got an issue on my 07 A4. The rear plastic piece of both front seats is coming off the back of the seat. It looks like its a glue issue. Anyone know the best way to fix this?

Thanks

Same exact thing happen to me but on the driver side. Everyone is always like "Sweet car! Wait, what's wrong with your seats dude?"

Kinda hurts.

Thanks for the replies guys!

The good news is the car is under warranty from Audi till June 2011 so hopefully it'll be covered.

Here's the shitty part though. I just bought it a week ago. It is a 2007 2.0T with 22k miles. After about four days I got in it and both seats had popped off. Looks like the dealer/owner before had tried to use double sided tape which didn't work. I do have a little piece of mind though; I found an Audi dealership record of where the dealer tried to order the parts but it said it was backordered. I'll look to bring the car to my Audi dealership to get it fixed this upcoming week.

Yikes! I just got a 2008 A4 S Line CPO with 17K miles on the 22nd of December. Same thing! My sons (early 20s) are "sweet car" the youngest opened the back door to put something on the floor and BOTH seats have the backs falling off. Maybe I'm a bit of a reactionist but really? Did they not notice when they did their 300 point inspection?

One other bone to pick - sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel only on the passenger side front when I'm >65 mph. I sure hope it's not an indication that someone/the dealership repaired body damage and didn't report it on Carfax. I thought it odd that when asked to measure the paint all around - they didn't have the tool... I'm headed back just to soothe my soul.

Again, maybe just a reactionist after my previous experience with a totally hosed up 2000 CPO from the Plano dealership in 2003...

All that said - I still love all of my Audis! Just sold my 2004 1.8T 6 speed. She was the BEST car I've ever owned just getting up there on miles.

This is great that everyone is acknowledging the same problem, but nobody has posted a solution. I've tried crazy clue, and GOOP but none of these are holding. Any other ideas?

I used 3M Interior Trim Adhesive and it's held for over a year.
I prepped the surface by scraping the old glue (not sure if factory, or the original owner had tried to fix) and cleaned the surfaces with alcohol.
Any auto parts store should have the 3M stuff.

Thanks RedCon1 I will try that. Was about to try hot glue gun, used another adhesive before that was "supposed to hold anything" but lasted 2 weeks....

Default back seat

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with the issues. My 2007 A6 driver back seat panel came loose a few months ago. I have tried 3 different kinds of glue -- no luck. Will try the double sided tape next.
