Default Before you kick me off this forum,....

I have a real, honest and important question:

I'm in search of a new wagon for our family. I'm a German enthusiast.
We need: cargo space, safety, sporty ride, MANUAL TRANSMISSION. We are
big people (my wife and I both are 6'). We have two dogs and a kid on
the way.

SO, my only question is:

1. 2006 A4, 2.0, AVANT, 6spd manual tranny, 33,000 miles $26,995
OR
2. 2009 VW Jetta Sportwagen, TDI, 6spd tranny $about the same

Now, granted I'm on the Audi Forum,...what are your thoughts?
I love the idea of clean diesel, and the cargo space of the Sportwagen.
BUT- I am a former 2001 A4 owner and just love the car for what it is.
Sporty perfection.

HELP!

id say take a day to go to a dealer, take 2 large(dog sized) stuffed animals and car seat and try out each car..... theyll think youre crazy but they also want your $ so theyll let you do what you want (aside from letting your real dogs jump around in the car..hence the stuffed animals)..... and decide from there
sportyness -VS- efficientcy - let us know what the outcome of that one is

I think the Passat has a little more interior room than an A4 and Jetta. May want to consider one of them as well.
