i wouldn't mind myself a funk switch!

 

This came up on another forum I check out. One option is to use the remote transmitter you now use, put that behind the console somewhere so you can replace the battery when you need to. Modify it and run wires from the contact switch on that remote to the funk switch or whatever you want to use in the dash as a garage door opener switch.
