So i just got a 2005.5 a4 2.0t(non quattro) 6 speed manual has 63,120 miles on it. I am getting the hang of manual after 3 hours(1 hour each day) lol but i drove to school in it now with my dad of course(28 miles round trip) and so on. but i still get scared starting on 1st gear like i lag it so the car starts to go and other times it goes like imediately liek if it was auto!!! i wanna start driving it on my own already but is till need to learn starting on hills O:!!!

So today..idk what happened we get 26mpg in city and 35 in highway but today it displayed and after driving a bit..it doesnt show the mpg it just shows the temperature and the time but it is flickering? did i press something or what?

If you notice a light show going on in your car and gauges start acting up, a lot of times it is a sign that your alternator is going but hard to say from your description...

 

thanks but i found out what the problem was. since i'm learnign manual...i was just stoping n starting in 1st gear to perfect it and get the feel and since i was doing that a lot i guess it didn't know what to calculate for the mpg but after driving it normally everything was back to normal lol.
