Center Armrest options?

Center Armrest options?
I have an '06 A4 3.2 Quattro 6MT. As impecable as Audi interiors usually are, the center armrest seems pretty cheap and flimsy. Did they improve this in the '07 or '08 models, or are there any aftermarket options?

Hey Objectivist,
I'm not sure what the armrests are like on the '06's. I just got a 2008 A4, my last being an '03 A4. I personally like the armrests on both year-models.
But to answer your question, I think in the case of the A4's that are equipped with the bluetooth phone integration, you might be sort of screwed on replacing the armrests. I've been told that is where the bluetooth transceiver is located. Supposedly, it is the grid of gold-colored circles mounted on the bottom of the armrest. An Audi tech should probably correct me if I am wrong. So I guess if you were to replace it, find one that had a bluetooth transceiver in it (??).
At any rate, the design hasn't been changed much (if at all). It is still the same ol' armrest with an adjuster handle in the bottom front of the armrest, and it still goes from all the way down almost sitting on the center console to being parallel to the center console, to being all the way perpendicular with the floor of the car.

RE: Center Armrest options?
Audi interiors are pleasing to the eye, but unfortunately the functionality/durability of the armrest and glove box are not top notch. My glove box door broke right off the hinges! And the bottom of the armrest slams into the ebrake which left a decent wear-spot on the e brake. Other than that, my A4 interior blows most cars away.

Interiors look great great and have an amazing use of space but the quality is not as good as the looks. My armrest cover clip broke after about 1 month, the glove box has too be closed just right other wise it opens over bumps, and the number of functions my auto seat has seems to be reducing at an alarming rate.
My brothers glove box in his B6 has the same issues and my girlfriends armrest in her new jetta already has a broken clip.
Don't get me wrong I love the car but it seems they are meant to be driven had and enjoyed in the corners. Therenot so well known for their great interior components or cup holders.
