check engine light

Default check engine light

i just put on my test pipe from APR and the check engine light wont go away.... code says that its a faulty sensor in my down pipe (which i get bc there is a lot more flow) but is there a way i can clear the check engine light?

Did you even read the stikey up top? All this is covered plus other stuff you should do.

Shoulda got the Ebay pipe for $80 bucks. Your car requires a stage 2 tune to remove the light. APR or REVO are both great, just get whoever is closer because some areas only have one brand near them. Only gauranteed way to lose the code. Car will run like a raped ape fter the tune.

you can also purchase a "defouler" to trick the ecu that you have a cat.

i suggest a stage 2 ecu flash = more hp

That trick is not gauranteed. It almost never works on these cars that I have seen. Do'nt waste the time or money for maybe a 10% chance.

Ive done about 7 DP installs between a4's a3's and GTI's tried 02 extensions at various depths i believe on 5 maybe 4 of them. Only had 1 work.

Keep in mind you are resetting the battery when doing this and your code may be 200 miles down the road. You may think it works right away but it gets you.

Trust me you don't want to have to go under the car all over again, I hate that. Thats why I don't recommend GIAC chips because they don't even have a tune to fix the o2 problem like the other major companies.
