Default Chip Recommendation

Anyone have a positive experience with using a chip in their audi. I have a 2008 A4. Thanks!

Yep. I've got APR, and it's great! From what I've heard, all the other major brand chips (GIAC, REVO, Unitronics) are also great. APR has the advantage of letting you switch programs with the cruise control. Other than that, just get whichever one has the closest dealer.

Thanks, I have checked them out. Did you install yourself?

No, you can't install it yourself. The dealer has to connect to an APR server to flash your ECU via OBDII connection. It takes less than 10 minutes.

I want to get GIAC X Chip. I heard its the most aggressive but it could be a smooth ride when you not pushing the car. Everything i want, speed when i ask and cruising when i don't.

I got the Stage 1 APR flash on Monday and dropped in a K&N air filter. My A4QT feels like a different car. I absolutely love it.

Have you guys that have chipped or flahsed your B7's changed out your DV's yet? I read somewhere here that B5's and B6's should upgrade the cheap, plastic DV after chipping. Is that still the case with B7's?

Some of the later B7's have upgraded DV's. It may still blow out after awhile, though. I've been running chipped for 2500 miles so far, and the stock DV is holding.
