Hello Everyone, I am new to this forum and just purchased my first Audi. It is a 2008 A4 with 100 k miles. It started throwing the 0171 code. I researched the code, cleaned the MAF, got a bunch of trash out of the screen behind the airfilter, put in a new airfilter and looked for vacuum leaks. Still throwing code. It seems to be running fine and seems to throw the code when I am slowing down. I am far from a mechanic but perfectly capable of throwing parts at the car and enjoy doing so. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

 

I had this code and the 02 sensor bank 2 downstream showing on my OBD2, but also a tear in the lower intake boot which I sorted, the scanner says all my sensors are reading the normal voltage when running, so could the tear in the intake boot cause the 02 code also? it's a 2001 BMW E46 330CI.
