Thats a joke. Go APR or REVO if you want cat code removal on stage 2. GIAC is good too but will not get rid of the Check Engine light. You are gonna have to pay to play. REVO is cheaper at $500 and usually run a christmas sale at $400.

It's probably just a air temperature adjuster... so it's not sophisticated, doesn't have any safety mechanisms. So it will probably increase your power, but who knows what it might do to your engine.
The companies mentioned by 2wd do extensive research to get their products to interface well and safely with Audi's ECU.

yea that sounds legit, i find it funny that there are not more ppl who have tried these chips attesting to the qaulity of them, exspecially when u can get one for 30$ u would think there would have been someone willing to take the ¨risk¨ i hope your right exspecially if i do end up spending the money on the ¨better¨ chip! just wish i had some info on this subject when were tallkin .55cents per HP! thats cheap compared to 11~14$ per HP!

Well, cause after all the money we spent buying our cars, we don't want to risk screwing it all up by cheaping out on something important.
An ebay chip probably will produce decent results at first, but who knows what its long term effects will be... it's certainly not been extensively tested with our cars at that price.

yeah i guess you are correct. i have had friends invest in the tornado thing and we had a dyno at our school, we did before and after and the result was less horsepower, probably because it caused an intake restriction?
