Engine block anatomy w/pic
I have a 2008 A4 Quattro 2.0T. I'm rebuilding the engine head and had a question about one of the holes on the block. Please see the attached pic. I had a tiny piece of putty fall into this hole and am wondering if I need to get aggressive with removing or finding it. This hole moves oil and connects to a bolt hole on the head with another connecting channel attached (where I assume oil drains around the head bolt). I verified the channel has an opening to the right about 9-10 cm. down into the block. Oil is standing in this channel and my concern is that the tiny piece of putty is blocking the outflow or passageway in the block. I'm I acting like an over-paranoid idiot here or do I have an issue? Thanks a lot
