Gains will be similar, DP will flow a little better. The DP being larger all around will be louder than just a test pipe. You are spending alot of money for similar gains and a higher risk of loudness.

I have an A4 B7 from 2008 and recently got the APR 93 Octane ECU Flash. Noticed immediate significant improvement in acceleration. I also have a K&N drop in intake filter which I noticed a difference with prior to the ECU flash. The K&N filter is about half the size of the stock filter and therefore allows more airflow into your engine. More airflow= more power= more fun. I recommend both. As far as exhaust systems I wouldnt touch any of it unless you went with a high flow Cat. I dont like the sound of an exhaust and I use my audi as a family car as well. Its quiet now and thats how I like it. The only other think I may get is a Carbonio Intake. Its inexpensive. like 380 and I have friends who recommended it. APR is the only website whom Ive seen whos stats actually match up with real results. Im currently running at 251hp and 294tq after flash and filter and I can feel a huge difference. Youll get better gas mileage as well but probably wont notice it bc youll be heavy footed for a bit =-)

don't waste your money on the carbonio intake. it's not going to give any extra HP. if a company claims something, they should back it up with a dyno-and even then there could be some stuff behind the scenes to get a higher number.

After spending 700 bucks including installation and tax on my APR flash a month later I upgraded to a B8. I was hopeful APR would credit me and unflash my car and put it on my new one. Unfortunately that is not the case. So if anyone on here wants a B7 APR ECU flash i have a warranty transfer that they can do for like 150-200 bucks to another B7

Hey, sorry It is no longer available. I purchased it through 212 Motoring in Brooklyn. It is honestly the biggest and most noticeable power upgrades Ive seen or had done on a car. I bought a B8 this week and was trying to transfer it which I couldnt but I was able to return it since it was under 30days then buy a new one for my B8. I know $700 after tax and installation may be a lot for some but If youre looking to get a faster car this will knock your socks off. I had the Stage I 93 Octane flash with no other upgrades.

So does it sound like you thought it would?

Sounds like you spent an aweful lot when you didn't really need to.

Not really, for future modders, dont get the APR CAI...Just a waste of money for 2/3 Kw gains, just adds a nice "whooooosh" noise. Also, dont really need the HPFP, unless your going with a BT build.

All in all, If i had to do it again, I would stick with a downpipe+stage 2 tune.
