Finally got my B7! (Pics ;) )
is that the legal limit? on my old car i had 15% all around and liked it a lot, even though it was technically illegal
now my audi just has whatever it came with or what the previous owner put on but its good enough

That is the limit here in Missouri (actually 38% front door windows and no restiction on the rear doors or window). We did 35% front and 20% rear on my wife's Focus. I was worried it wouldn't look right. Glad to say I was wrong. You tell there is a slight difference in the windows. Not in your face difference though which is good.
Nah, its illegal. We have no limit on the rear, but the front is set at an absurd 43% with a 3% grace, so technically the limit is 40%, but the 35 is close enough that the eye can't really perceive the difference between that and legal so its not until they put a tester on it that it'll be noticed
but I knew I wanted at least 20 for the rear so the 35 made sense to not be too drastic of a difference and I'm definitely very pleased with the result like you, rhodes

yea i used to live in mo. too and luckily never had any problems with having the 15%
i personally think that 35% or higher is kinda pointless. i dont need hide anything but i liked keepin the sun and some heat out. if my car didnt come this way i woulda gone 15 or 20% if i could get someone to do it under the table. my sister had some issues in maryland. they actually use an electronic tester when you register the car and put stickers on the windows so cops always know ( their alcohol laws sucks ***** too )

Man thats nuts! I've never heard of registration having the test with it. Makes sense though with all the folks that somehow seem to find loopholes in getting their safety passed under the table somehow. But damn!
On a side note, I got Lenore debadged last night
After about 70 seconds with a blowdryer and some floss, all the badges were off; then followed by about 3 hours, lotsa goo gone, a half a pack of smokes, and 3 or 4 beers and a lot of elbow grease to get the residual glue off. But definitely worth it in the end

Good day, fellows! Just wanted to share with you my most recent upgrades
I am largely pleased with these items, considering they both came off eBay, and as we all know, there are some things that are a safe bet to get there, and other things you're well advised to steer clear of. In this case, the end result has been very pleasant.
First up, an RS4 rep front grille. Being that I'm non s-line, a genuine RS4 grille won't fit in my bumper (plus, someday I'd like to get a DTM bumper, and that doesn't support a genuine RS4 grille either, so its a win win, getting the rep) I found quite a few options that had the RS4 look, but this one won me over because of price, and the ease of debadge-ability (yes, I tend to invent words. Deal with it ;P ) The mounting bracket for the badge is tension set with holders that screw into the back of it, so if I ever decide I don't want it anymore, I can just undo those screws and take it off
The pics below are, for better or worse, the same shot; just slightly different angles (for no good reason) but a good opportunity to show off the LED DRL's that I put in, and the red city lights
All in all, I'm very pleased with the outcome; the swap kinda sucked in its own way just for the fact that the whole bumper has to come off to get at the screws that hold the grille on, but it was absolutely worth it, I think it looks a million times better than stock.

Next up, I put in LED license plate lights. These I also found on eBay and what sold me on these ones was the fact that they're not actually a festoon style bulb with all the diodes on it. They rebuilt the whole light/lens assembly with a flat sheet of diodes (therefore a lot more diodes and surface area of light than what is achieved on the cylindrical festoons) and that allowed a resistor to be built in on top of the diodes to feed proper readings to the DIS box and not throw a "bulb out" warning. Again, very satisfied with this product for the money; sure they might have been a bit more pricey than the festoons, but for not having to worry about error codes and the better light output, the $40 it cost me for the pair was absolutely worth it.

Questions, comments; upvotes, downvotes; any and all feedback always appreciated
