I'm getting the same problem, but I'm just holding out until someone knows EXACTLY how to fix this problem (Ballast, Bulb, headlight housing?)

Anyone?

ehh, the OP was kind of unclear as to xenon or not. I don't have teh xenon. My headlights don't flicker. I clearly know what I am talking about.

2 things are going to happen...

1) this led technology is not all that complex, it is high priced because people will pay for it. When everyone gets wise, either the price will go down, or it will stay flat and inflation will catch up with it - it'll be cheap either way.

2) Conversions back to retro style, incandescent will become hip.

If it were me, and it was as problematic for me as it seems to be for you, I'd go retro (version #2) and just be ahead of the curve.

well... def not doing that, thats a downgrade...but iv had the ballast changed like 2-3 times from the dealership.. bout 150 ........ummm and they still start to flicker give or take a couple months.....never said anything bout changing bulbs... (like other hav stated)..... but some ppl told me the ballast that the dealerships use are junk... some ppl said its the wirerin on the car itself.... just looking for any imput that helps...... def not dropin 7-8 hun.... for anything that has to do with the prob.....thats a waste on a car that shouldnt have an issue like that in the first place....ill tape flashlights to the hood. lol

Update. Rather than screwing around with the dealer, I decided to replace the bulb(s) myself. Even though it was only the drivers side and since I would have to remove the front wheels and bumper I replaced them both. What a terrible design! I bought OEM bulbs for about $100 a piece. So on Memorial weekend I took on the challenge. It took me several hours. But I'm not a grease monkey. It was a pain getting to some of the screws but with the help of some articles I read I was able to pull it off.
Well it’s been a few weeks now and no more flickering. I hope that’s all it was because I have no idea on how to replace the control module!

Recently my flickering problem went from annoying to all out scary. On the way home from work my left headlight started completely turning off. Then a few seconds later it would come back on and my foglights would both go out. When the foglights would come back on after a few seconds, the left headlight would go out. This repeated itself until I got home...about 15 minutes. I put the car in the garage and watched this crazy lightshow for about 5 minutes. This has now happened on three consecutive (cold) nights. Anyone have a clue what might be causing this? I've also noticed that my lights aren't self-leveling.

Thank you for pointing this out. I reported this safety issue to www.nhtsa.gov too. (Lights failing at night is dangerous!) If EVERYONE with this issue reports it there may be enough "cause" to warrant investigation and possible recall fix.
