Default Fuel Tank Failure

So I had CEL 2 weeks ago and it threw codes P0089 and P0455. Last week Dealership replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, LDP filter, EVAP canister, and EVAP pump filter. Back History: Have had TWO fuel pumps/filter prior to last week's replacement in last 6 months. Grand total is three fuel pumps/filters in six months.

TWO days after all that was done, it threw the same codes again...

Now they tell me it's Fuel Tank Failure for $2800. What's the diagnosis, Doctor, you can give it to me straight. Oh, and it's out of warranty...

Yeah, I don't really understand how a fuel tank would fail, either. Do you have another dealership you can go to?

Sounds very sketchy about the tank. I would definately find another dealer.

Default Fuel Tank Failure

They say the tank is essentially collapsing in on itself, causing incorrect pressure within the tank itself. And that affects the fuel pump apparently....

What specific model do you have? I would suspect the cam follower and high pressure fuel pump issue experianced by other B7 2.0 Turbo owners.
