Default General Qustion

Just bought an 08' a4 quattro 2.0T

I got my car serviced first time at 5000 at audi dealership
but how often do i have to change the oil?

I purchasd the service plan with audi

for 5000, 15000, 25000, 35000, 45000

Should i be changing the oil in between?

I don't see any warning signs come up for oil change.

help me out please

thanks

Default no...don't

The Audiusa.com website has a pdf of your service schedule. As far as oil is concerned, you change it at the same mileage intervals you listed. The first being 5000 to break everything in, lube everything up, clean out any residue from manufacturing. The dealer is supposed to check over and make sure that there are no issues related to QA from the manufacturer as well as update any TSBs. Because of your car requiring synthetic oil as well as a pleated paper media, your service intervals from that point on will be at 10,000. Also, you should have a service indicator on the dash. Look at the screen each time you start the vehicle as it should give you a count down for the next service. I have the tech package, so it could be just on the A4's with that...but I was thinking it was on all A4s. Have fun!

Some people like to change their oil more frequently, but Audi doesn't call for oil changes between scheduled services.

yes, i'm one of those types that changes the oil every 5000 miles even though it is not in the maintenance schedule. i figure it's a small investment and it is a turbo-which is tough on oil.
