Give me a reason NOT to buy a 2007 A4
hi all, first post
I'm having a car dilemma! I'm moving to NJ in about a week and need to buy a car since I'm not taking my old crappy beater with me.
I'm looking for a car that can handle NJ winters since I need to get around for work (I have never really driven in the snow...). I was looking into a G8, but that one only comes as an automatic and I definitely want to get a manual tranny. Same for the Malibu. I don't really care about BMW, Toyota, Honda, etc. I was thinking about saving a little more money, buying another beater and then go for either the 370z or the Camaro in a few months, but then again that's too much of a hassle and won't work very well in NJ winters I guess. on the other hand I'd like a car that's fun to drive and doesn't take a minute to pass a truck
right now Audi has 0.9% financing available for certified cars, and a 2007 A4 quattro looks really tempting to me! I'm not a DIY guy, I don't really know a whole lot about cars. I hope that having a certified car would give me a certain peace of mind.
So, is there a reason I should NOT go for a certified, used A4 quattro?
Thanks in advance!

Well CPO cars do have a good warranty that covers most expensive repairs, but it doesn't cover squat as far as maintenance, like; brakes, cv boots, clutch, fluids, oil changes, headlights etc. Thats how most of the certified pre owned car companies are starting to work now, but as far as an 07 you really wouldn't have any problems you would need to address for years to come. As far as living in a snowy climate....when i lived in allentown PA everyone i knew that had an audi traded in their BMW or Mercedes, acura, toyota etc because they couldn't come anywhere close to the grip or power the audi has when going through the snow. A 370Z and Camaro are super nice summer cars, but don't belong anywhere near snow. An audi can take on an 8ft bank of snow and plow right through it.

i love my '07 a4. i think the styling is better than the '09s plus i have a full size spare. the quattro is awesome in the winter. i don't even use winter tires. great quality and never had a single issue with it.
anything else would be a compromise.

ur talking about getting a 370z thats gonna be horrible in the snow....for someone who has never driven in snowy weather its a good option to look at an awd sedans being audi with quattro, bmw xi, subaru legacy and impreza infiniti g50 with awd you have lotsa options but to be honest audi's quattro is totally different then any other cars awd and it holds the road better
