It is up to Audi of America to void your warranty and they must comply with certain rules. Only parts proven to be broken by which particular part installed can be voided.

It is not up to any dealer to decide and if you have a dick dealer who theatens any revocation of warranty will have to deal with Audi directly once you complain. Trust me in the fact that Audi will deal with these people properly.

Chips are perfectly fine. If you are scared to put one in that is up to you but you would have to actually blow your motor or turbo's, then they would have to prove you ran x amount of boost and AOA would have to approve or deny the claim, not your dealer.

I have APR with a lockout mode with a 4 digit passcode to keep nosey mechanics out. They would have to really dig and you would have to have a warranty problem worthy of their time. Please make sure you buy certified.

I am APR stage 2 on my GTI. Stock on the A4. I did run the free trial software for REVO stage 1 on the A4 and was happy with it as well.

I would probably start off with upgrading the DV, then get a chip. From there I'm not sure, but I might do suspension, exhaust, wheels, etc... down the road. Thanks again for the responses, this is all very useful information.

I have been thinking of selling my '08 A4 Quattro 2.0T. S line appearance package. I think it's the premium plus package. I would be asking right around the same price with 28k miles. Factory warranty until 2012.

Well that car sold anyway.. It wasn't worth it without a warranty.

Where are you located Ian? Why are you selling your car?

I'm near Albany, NY. I've been thinking I want something a bit more towards the sport end... I love the car completely, but would like a bit more motor and handling.

I'm thinking E46 M3, 2006-8 S4, CTS-V or GTO, maybe even a C6 Vette but that's way down the list. Yeah I know, those options are all over the place. lol

Well, I made a purchase!

2008 Audi A4 2.0T S-Line Quattro. It's nice I like it! It has 40,000 miles on it, but it's CPO 6 years/100,000 miles.

The best part is I got it for cheaper than the 07 I was looking at.

It's nice to have 4 wheels again.

Awesome. CPO is great just remember if the 100K comes first you are done at that point. Now read the sticky up top and get a couple of mandatory things done and ask for your inspection checklist and make sure they did everything. Good luck.
