Hard starting
- 9 out of 10 times my car starts up normally and runs fine. On occasion, only when having sat overnight, it can take 10 or 15 start attempts before it will run. Then runs fine. While it's cranking, the gear indicator in the center of the instrument cluster lights up.
After the fact I get 2 codes:
001672 ecm power relay load circuit
000051 turbo bypass control circuit
If I clear them, the 001672 pops right back up, the other does not.
The first time it happened, a month ago, I got a code that referred to low fuel pressure on the low pressure side. Maybe dirty fuel filter???
In my mind, it's behaving the same way my old B6 did when it needed a cam position sensor.
I'm wondering if the ecm code comes up because all the cranking drops the battery voltage.
