Default high rpm issues

new member seeking information. 06 a4 s line 6 sm. 142 k and recently had stage 1 apr tune done. ran fine for 2 days , now she shutters in 3.4.5.6. above 3500 rpm. pulls to redline in 1st and 2nd. k and n panel is only other mod for now. has shuttered at low low rpm on slow take off for a while but never an issue. have had her for 2 yrs and 45k. set it back to stock tune and still has issues. no codes thrown and clutch with 15 k on her. new plugs.was at 25-30 mpg. puller maf plug and no changes. idles well and goes to 6 k + easily in park. just ordered coil packs and hfc from034 but clueless to problem. Traction light came on with maf off but not on with maf installed and no other cel present. Appreciate any info as to what to look for.

figured it out somewhat. checked the plug gaps and they were off.036 to .039 so i changed them to the bkr7e set at .032 and that helped a bunch. changed out the cat to the 034 hfc yesterday and the coil packs to the red tops and it pulls really well throughout. i have been experiencing some stumble taking off from a start to 1500 k and thought it was the oem coilpacks with 142 k on them and sighs of arcing but not the case. fuel filter change time next. i expected more sound from the hfc with stock exhaust based on sound clips but it is mellow.

On a stage 1 tune, you're supposed to gap to .028 instead of the stock .032. Try that out and see if it doesn't get rid of your little bit of stumble in the low RPM range

Appreciate the advice. pulled the plugs and cleaned up and re gapped to .028 and seems to run alot better. just a touch of stutter left. fuel filter ordered for weekend install.

Thanks again.
