Idle problems after engine runs for a bit

Unhappy Idle problems after engine runs for a bit

when i start up my car, no problem, but when i drive it for awhile if i put the car on park or neutral the engine revs up and down, up and down repeatedly until i put the car back in drive or reverse. would anyone know what this problem is? and sometimes when i drive and come to a stop the car starts to bog out like if its about to stall. my ride is bone stock and cvt tranny. please help i need my car for a long drive really soon

Same problem common on lots cars. Somtimes it's an idle conrol module or idle control motor. Could be a sensor now-a-days. I'd call the dealer.

Yeah, control box makes the most sense to me. It could be a number of other issues--some easy, some not. A Camaro I own does the same thing while I sit and idle, but it only fluctuates about 50RPMS max. Usually a little less. I am thinking about installing a digital monitoring system so I can see my RPMS, O2, and other stuff. That way I'll know exactly what's going on in my car at all times.
