Maybe--YMMV.

I have a 2006 and had to replace mine.

Actually, my A4 is also a '08, but when I pulled my DV (which was a PITA...top screw) it was the Rev G, diaphragm type. No visible tears though at 34k miles. Replaced it with the Rev D.

Good to know. I thought they'd figured it out by '08.

Had a few questions I haven't seen brought up in this sticky.

Has anyone ever of does anyone now use a "Catch Can" instead of the stock PCV or the BSh fix? At present I have replaced the diverter valve with the Rev D, installed the BSH pcv fix.

My next batch of upgrades are going to be Stasis street sport coil overs, H&R sway bars front and rear, 034 motorsports high flow cat, stasis exhaust, carbonio intake, stage 2 chip.

I'm also looking at a pair of aftermarket dual SMIC. Could I possibly get some feedback on what you good people think about these few parts?

Catch Can.

Catch Can Kit, B7 Audi A4 2.0T FSI - 034 MOTORSPORT

Aftermarket Dual SMIC.

Intercooler Kit, B7 2.0T FSI, Dual SMIC - 034 MOTORSPORT

Just wanting to know with my propsed upgrades if either of these would help or possibly hurt or just be a waste of money.

Thanks in advance.

I have that DSMIC. It's massive compared to the stock ICs. I'm happy with it.

Question 2008 a4

Hi i've recently bought a 2008 A4 2.0T. Its a FWD with CVT transmission and S-line package (sport suspension).

How would this compete racing against
1. Mustang V6
2. Honda Civic Si
3. Acura RSX-S
4. BMW 328i
.. or any others off the line?

Hahaha! Seriously, no. You have a CVT transmission. Maybe if you had a 6-speed you could take one or two of those off the line, but my 5-speed V6 Mustang that I had before my 2.0T A4 would have 3 or 4 car lengths on my Audi before they both hit 40mph and that's a lot of ground to make up. Top-end, I feel like the Audi has more oomph, but that's just personal after driving both.

I don't know about the others, but stock you won't be as fast as the Mustang or 328. With a chip, though, you'll be faster than a (pre-2011) V6 Mustang, and right around a 328.

If you had a 6MT instead of the CVT you would do better. I have beat a 325i, and an older V6 'Stang no problem. Also VW Passat 2.0T and MB C300 (auto I think). I tied a 328i in 0-100(kmh). Honda Si or Acura RSX do not know nor would I try! Of course that was a couple of years ago. Now I just cruise on the autobahn and listen to music.

Enjoy!
