Default K and N air filter

I see that almost all of you guys use a K and N air filter and i would like to buy one myself. I have a 2008 audi a4 2.0T s-line and I looked on the K and N site and i cannot figure out which one to buy. There are two that fit my year make and model but they are different sizes. Clarification...?

The K&N site should give you the correct part number if you enter your vehicle information. I put K&N's in every car I own, and have found it's just as easy and cheap to go to the nearest parts shop and order it there. You'll get the correct size. That's usuallys as competitive a price as, say, ECS Tuning including shipping.

Also, make sure you clean out your snow filter. Mine was filthy when I bought it, and I've had three friends so far that didn't know about it whose were clogged and filthy as well. All of us have noticed better throttle response when we cleaned it out.

I think 33-2209 is the correct part number.

A good auto parts store should. It's about a 5 minute job. Ask them before you buy. Or, if you're in the Mpls area, heck, **I'LL** do it for you.

Can't remember where it was on my '98.5, as I took it out so long ago. But it should be between the air box and the last intake into the box. On the 2007, it's on the elbow intake that goes into the box.

i heard there are no performance gains whatsoever with a k&n plus the oem filter works better for keeping dirt out of the engine.

Check out the AFE Pro Dry filter at purems.com. It's a completely dry filter, so there's no chance of fouling up your intake with the oil from the K&N.
