I replaced the city light/parking light in the headlight with an LED one but the light almost throbs every few seconds. Has anyone done this? and have you had any success?

I have a 2007 a4 w/ HID lights. Thanks guys

 

You have to have a load equalizer (resistor) so that the current draw is the same with the LED as with the original bulb.

 

I haven't tried that yet but it sounds interesting... Were you able to try it? How's the look? any pictures?

 

I had the same problem with my 2004. I think the pulsating/thrubing is the ongoing continus elec. ciruit/pulse that goes through all the car every 1-2 seconds to check for damaged lights, (that's how the board computer can find damaged/nonfunctioning lights and throws a code etc). I finally used different kind of LED, it worked but it threw a code.
