Default LED License plate bulb replacment...

I have purchased multiple pairs of the replacement LED bulbs for my 2008 a4 and every pair has triggered a light out error. Has anyone here had any luck finding a set that doesnt give an error? If so where did you buy them?

Nice find! Do you have any problems with them rotating around in the socket and not shining the slight straight down?

I bought a pair from this same site, but it was the ones with the whole housing, full of led's. They shine very bright (yet not too bright for the person driving behind you), and fit perfectly and all, but they were supposed to not trigger the light out error... guess what. I've been driving with the error for months now. I found out it was only one of them that triggered it by trying each one separately, in combination with one of the old ones. So... just be alarmed that even though it says they won't trigger it, in some cars they do.

The reason I bought the ones with the whole housing is because 2 days after I bought my car, I got a light out error and noticed one of my original license plate housings was broken around the screw, and it was hanging down ready to fall, so it was useless, so I decided to upgrade. Moral of the story is... don't tighten the screw way too much, like my dealer did, and watch out with the led lights. Let me know if they work for you though, sick of driving around with the error on.

bulbs are in the mail, but I do not see them rotating in there at all. I took a look in there and it looks as the bulbs fit very snug.

as megailko stated, they do make a full replacement for the B7's. I should be seeing my bulbs by the end of the week, and will let you know if I get any error codes.

run a resistor on them, it should trigger the "bulb out" warning anymore. 25ohm-25watt

yeah, well the point of the ones that I purchased was that they have built in resistors, since they were the whole lamp, with bulb inside, not just the bulb. and yet... bulb out error! I wish I had returned them while I still could. Seems like my APR software's error code erase program doesn't work for the light out error.
