Hello guys, Im new to the forum, I dont own an a4 but my girlfriend does its a 2005 model. So just recently one of the license plate lights stopped working, i figured it was just a bulb so went and bought a new one, put it in, nothing. Now both lights dont work. I have done anything I could, checked all the connections. Today I gave it another shot and was bending the little pins back and forth, and got one light to work. I did a search and read that, maybe it needs a little bit sanding? Can anyone give me more info on that. Also after I screwed both lights back in, for some reason, when I press the lock button on the key it no longer beeps and lights don't flash, but when I press unlock the lights flash twice. What could be the problem???

Dumb question, so forgive me, are you sure you got the right bulbs? Also, does her car have the headlight and/or technology package?

 

Yes I do have the right bulbs, because left one works and right one doesnt, i changed both of them. I am not sure on the headlight package
