Question..adding the chip is all you did, or did you update sensors (O2, mass air, etc.) How are the cabriolet's..the only prob I heard with them is that the rear window comes apart from the top, and there's no repair..except $4000 to replace. This is very good info!

My top is holding up just fine still. And you don't need to replace sensors when getting chipped.

What would I look at spending additional to have the computer reflashed and a chip?

hey man, i just got my 07 a4 with 44k miles on it for 18,900. they are out there. if you can get one coming off of a lease, they are under 50k miles and have all their service done by audi techs and are checked out by the dealerships before they go to auction. it is a good setup. i know a broker in tennessee who does just that. let me know if you are interested. getting your car chipped is just another way to say reflash. it is 6 hundo through APR

I just bought an 07 which was audi CPO, 27K miles on it and the warranty is good until 2013. Most of the audi CPOs were around $25K, some even higher. As far as the CVT, I know 2 people at work that are the original owners and have not had any problems what so ever. Gas mileage is great on the CVT. I think all cars as they age will have some issues. This certainly will not be as bad as a 7 series BMW. I found the 7 series BMW equal to maintaining a small airplane.
