b7 owners i wore a hole in my audi parts department drivers side floor matt...the other 3 matts in my car are mint. Any thoughts on how to get one matt that is an audi matt?

 

Never seen them sold outside a set. They're not too pricey--just get the whole set. ECSTuning sells OE and aftermarket options.

 

Somewhere between when my 2000 Jetta GLX was built and my 2006 A4, Audi, VW changed to a cheaper material that only lasts a couple seasons. You coudl see and feel the difference in the materials. My Jetta's mat barely had any wear after 8 years, and the Audi's was trashed after 2 years. My parents even bought the mats for their 2011 Jetta, and the mats had the same material as my Audi's, The drivers mat was shot only after 2 years.

 

I haven't had to replace mine in the nearly 5 years I've owned the car (I suspect they were original, but no way to know). They're getting close, though. When I do replace them, I will try the Schwabens that ECS Tuning sells since Audi apparently spins gold to make theirs and wants $300 for the set ($200 just for the fronts).
