Hey I'm new to the forum but I have a mystery component on my front grille

Two little black boxes at the bottom which have wires trailing through the engine bay and through the firewall behind the enu into the dash

Can't find out what they are ?? Anyone know ??

Car is a Audi A4 2006 3.0 TDI Quattro

dont think those are a factory thing. is there a mystery switch inside? maybe some kind of lights added by the last owner. i would turn on all the the headlights and fog lights and see if they are wired together.

 

Two possible things that I thought of:

1. Deer whistles if there are no wires. Not sure why you would mount two though.

2. Some type of parking assist sensor.
