Default New Audi Owner

Hi Guys,

I am new Audi owner just thought I would say hello.

I have an Audi 2.0 2007 S-line car. The car has 125K on the clock. I would like some help/advice.

1. Should I use the original Audi coolant and engine oil? If yes, where is the cheapest place to purchase these items.

2. I have an engine management light on at the moment. The fault says - boost pressure regulation control range not reached P0299.

The car seems to be running fine but I want to get this problem sorted. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Applethunder

There's an Audi/VW spec for oil. I don't change my own, so I'm not 100% sure of it, but you should be able to find it with some searching. I would also stick with whatever the manual recommends for coolant. Just not worth cutting corners in those two areas.

It's possible you have a failed Diverter Valve. Won't cause any problems to drive it like that, but you're leaking your boost out and affecting performance. See the sticky thread at the top of the forum for more, but the newest revision OEM part runs about $80 and is not prone to the same failure. Hopefully, it's the simple fix for that one.
