Default New to Audis, help on Mods for my B7?

First off, want to say hello to everybody! I just purchased a black 2007 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro sedan today, auto trans, and I will be picking it up this Saturday. However, I'm new to the world of Audi's, my other car is a 2006 Mustang GT, heavily modded (intake, exhaust, cams, nitrous, etc) so I already know I want to do at least a few mods to my new car. That being said, where should I start?

Mods I'd like to do:
Wheels and tires
Lowering kit
Intake
Full stereo with Nav
Performance mods

If anybody could point me in the direction of some nice wheels and tires, or at least give me some advice on what size rim works best and what offset, that would be great and give me a nice start. Also, if there is a good site for aftermarket Audi parts that you have had good experience with, let me know! I hate shopping around until I know I'm looking at a reputable site lol.

Thanks in advance for your help and I look forward to contributing to this forum!

Did ya read the Sticky?

Tons of good advice from people who have already been down that road. Read, learn, experiment. That's what I am doing.

Yeah, I saw that, seems like a nice list of maintenance things to do for my car. I definitely plan on doing those, but I was thinking mods more "above and beyond" preventative maintenance. For instance, wheel and tire fitment, intake choices, and maybe some bigger performance mods than chips, like a turbo swap or something like that.

Thanks for the reply, that sticky had lots of good info!

Alright, I'll check that out. I don't want to go too crazy with it, but going from a 600RWHP V8 as a daily driver to a 2 liter turbo 4-banger kind of killed me lol although the Audi would slaughter the Mustang in any race that had a turn. I'm really only looking to get it in to the 300-350RWHP range, which should make for a nice daily driver since I still have the Mustang if I feel I need more.

Also, I'm looking for wheels and tires first, and I stumbled on brand called Hartmann Wheels, I really like their 19" HRS4-252 wheels. Are they a good brand? And what size tire would you recommend for the 19x8.5" wheels? Also, what is a good brand to look in to for a nice 1" drop?

Thanks for the help with my noob questions lol this A4 has been a completely different world than the Mustang and I don't want to waste any money on crap parts!

I see ECS Tuning pop up in conversations alot. They offer both OE parts and aftermarket stuff.

Welcome to Audi. I had a 2000 Mustang GT and went to an A6 before ending up in my A4. You won't regret it as a daily driver.

Welcome to Audi and AF!

CAI's, as you may quickly find out, don't really do anything to our cars.

This is pretty spot on with regards to performance mods, since you'd like to get into the 300hp range. Props to 2wdblazer:

Otherwise you might as well go APR stage 3 to get around 372hp(?)

Wow, that's a great sticky, that might be pretty much the exact route I go. It doesn't seem like it should affect gas mileage that much and should make for a fun little DD. Thanks for the welcome and the good info! I'm sure I'll be back with more questions once I pick up the car on Saturday lol.

Congrats on the purchase of your A4. If you need any OEM Audi parts we can help with any dealer only item part. I wish we could work with performance parts for your car but we are limited to stock only. But in a project you would need gaskets and hardware etc. We can help with that and much more. Please call us for anything you need. Thanks, Jeff.
