New B7 Checkup?
I just took delivery of my 2008 A4 2.0T Quattro. 32k on the clock.
I come from a lengthy Acura background, but just couldnt agree with their new styling, and the fit and finish of the A4 has always been superior.
Anyway, being fairly mechanically inclined, it looks like I need to go replace the follower and check into the DValve to bring things up to par. I like tinkering with my car, but Im getting a little old (lazy) for springs/ECU/header/exhaust, etc...so just overkill preventative maintenance these days.
With only 32 on the clock its pretty early, but not knowing anything about the previous (1) owner, im thinking I should probably start fresh and replace most fluids, etc.
Any suggestions/advice on where to start?

congrats and welcome to the forum. i would start with the oil, oil filter and air filter. i change my oil every 5000 miles and i like to use mobil 1 0W-40. it's not so easy to change the oil so i just take it to the dealership. some a4s burn off some oil from the turbo through the PCV and out the exhaust. i think it depends alot on how hard you drive it. so just keep a quart in the trunk. if you do drive hard and burn off oil towards the tail end of your oil change interval, you'll get a warning light come on. i had my warning light come on twice and both times were approching the oil change plus i was driving it hard on long road trips.
i got caught up in the whole panic associated with the follower and i had it pulled and replaced. i still have the old one with pictures and it's perfectly fine. it's a 1st generation direct injection mechanical design. i think they should upgrade it to the same fail-proof design as porsche-electromagnetic.
