Hey guys I'm in the slow process of thinking of buying a new car. I really like the a4. Right now im debating if i want an a4 or if i want the mazdaspeed6. I want a car that i can mod. My goal for the new car would be 500-600whp. Now my questions are how much can the stock engine handle up to? And how much can the stock Tranny handle? No i cant affor the s4 even though i wish the a4 would be a long project car. And no i dont want an evo or an sti there is way to many of them on the road. Thanks a lot guys

 

i heard the block can handle around 800 hp.

 

I imagine the block can handle a lot, but you'd probably need to upgrade the tranny.

Big turbo kits are starting to come out for the B7 A4, but I don't think anyone is claiming, but I don't think anyone is claiming above 450 CHP.

Check out APR, AWE, Stasis, and ASP kits.

 

Be sure to get the front mount intercooler if you're chipping over stage 2 or 3 and going with a turbo upgrade.
