Default NEW, need some help on behalf of my dad.

Hey all, Im new here so this is my unofficial intro, I dont actually have an Audi, I have an 06 Civic SI and am on 8thcivic.com as the same username. But now to business, my dad has a 06 A4 2.0T and is having some acceleration issues, the car seems to almost hesitate when you try to accelerate at any rpm. He has had some work done to the cams and a couple other things. Any ideas on what this could be? I thought maybe clutch but im not sure.

and just for fun heres my car

Thanks,
WindySI

Your symptoms are pretty vague... is it not giving much power at all, or is there just a delay before power delivery? It could be a boost issue, a leak somewhere or a torn diverter valve, or maybe a fueling issue.

If you give it some gas, it seems to hesitate, and gently jerks a couple times, its very gentle and you wont notice it unless your me.

Sounds like the car isn't the problem then.

Thumbs up

I had a similar problem with mine for a long time, although it was a B5. Hesitated on putting your foot down to overtake, wouldn't rev above 3000. replaced the air flow meter and its like a new car to me, nippy and responsive and revs well above 4000.
£40 fix and a 10 minute job.

Its a 6 speed MT quattro, i thought i put that in the first post, not sure how many miles, Im going to guess around 50k. and I revise my earlier statement about it not being very noticeable, my mom brought it up to me but now I notice it every time i ride/drive in it. I dont think its throwing any codes, its been to audi for the same problem a couple times, i believe they replaced the cams once.

The main thing I was wondering is if anyone else had this problem and knew exactly how to fix it, audi seems to be at a loss and they say they don't know what it is. I got to drive it again today after a month since I last did, the best way I can describe it is like being a fishing lure and being tugged along by a fishing line, its not extremely violent but almost like a fairly smooth shift. The car also shakes more than usual when its at idle.
